This place proved to be one difficult to secure a reservation at so I was glad when I could finally go down to try one day. Located among the shophouses located at Prinsep street, it wouldn’t be hard to miss this signboard. And the familiar sight of the mama shop in the distance definitely bring back fond memories when you are a kid
It was a crowded place, and waiting for the staff (only one there) to guide me to my seat took at least 10 minutes. It made me wonder how big the establishment was
The bar is hidden behind the shop and you can also made your purchases from the mama shop
Once you enter the place, there is a long bar in sight and the seatings come in form of high tables and chairs. I say it was pretty crowded inside

We got the 9 bites of wonder which all came in bite sizes, thankfully. The bites were interesting. You get a taste of familiarity in each one and they were actually pretty decent. I thought they had done quite a good job here, in trying to recreate something different yet you still know what you were eating
Duck Confit $20
Cured Duck Leg, Waffle, Apple Jam
Moving to mains, I really like my duck confit, so much I finished the entire thing. It was well executed, crisp on the skin and soft on the inside. The waffles were good too, fluffy and not dry
Beef Striploin $24
Australian Striploin, Toasted Sesame Chimichurri, Sautéed Buttered Vegetables, Fries
I think the friend enjoyed her steak too and it was a rather filling portion. And I thought the prices were reasonable
Food was actually great, but I wouldn’t say so much of its service. We felt rushed throughout dinner as though they can’t wait for us to leave. So it wasn’t that great of an experience. We didn’t order drinks, and I’m not sure if that’s the factor. In any case, I guess this place wouldn’t make it to the top of my list in returning
