Dropped by The Wine & Gourmet Friends some time back after reading some reviews online. Located at Bukit Pasoh road, the restaurant opened late last year and serves a fusion of Asian/European cuisines. You can pick any wine from the shop itself or if not, the staffs will recommend based on the notes you prefer. The place wasn’t very crowded when I visited (even though it was during the festive period), probably due to the fact that not many are aware of its existence
Platter of 3 Varieties $24
Truffle Camembert, Paleta Iberico de Bellota & Truffle Salami
Started off with a platter of cheese and ham which was pretty good to go with the wine. Love the lightness in the cheese and the abundance of truffle in the ham. It’s something I would probably order again
Seared Hokkaido Scallops $28
Roast Pork Belly $24
Bangalow Sweet Pork served with Salad, Achar & Mustard
Ooh, this roasted pork belly was really good. The crackling of the pork belly skin with the tenderness of the meat, along with some achar to go along
Duck Magret $18
Moulard Duck Breast, Orange & sauce Bordelaise
Thought the duck tasted a little weird to me. The cooking was done a little differently and the doneness of the meat wasn’t very welcomed as well
Black Pepper Crab Noodle $18
Blue Swimmer Crab, Soft Shell Crab
Heartiness of the carbs with a sweet peppery broth
Pecan Tart (Festive Special) with Lemon Sorbet $12
Teh C $8
Lavender Earl Grey Ice cream
Kaya Toast $10
Cinnamon Butter Toast, Kaya Anglaise & Guatemala Coffee Icecream
The desserts failed to impress. It was just like hmm.. okay next. In all, the food was somewhat average. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t impressive either. I would probably pick any other restaurants down the street or next if I had a choice
