When PS.Cafe opened its doors at One Fullerton, it gave the CBD crowd a reason to cheer cos there’s another option for business lunch since we were running about the same few places. The cafe is located on the second level at One Fullerton and you can take the escalator near the taxi stand. You would be greeted with a beautiful bar in sight when you stepped in through the entrance and a view of the Marina Bay when you ventured further into the restaurant. They do private room as well, sits up to 10 pax. Definitely lots of reason in coming back here
I came back here twice, once for lunch and the other for dinner. Lunch was a busy affair with every table almost taken up. The menu also included an extension of food closer to home with likes of Mee Goreng, Prawn Mee and Laksa, though I would call them atas local food
Truffle Shoestring Fries $15
It felt like a must-order everytime I visit. Their enormous plate of truffle fries which we have a difficult time finishing it everytime
Kashmiri Lamb Chops $39
Chargrilled Cutlets, Masala Chat Potatoes, Baby Green Beans, Spiced Mint Jus & Chilled Tomato Chutney
Like the spices on the lamb but I felt like the meat was a little too chewy
Prawn Noodle Soup $23
Traditional Brew, Vermicelli & Chilli Powder
A luxurious replication of our prawn noodles, with fried shallots and chilli powder completed
I did enjoy this bowl of prawn mee very much. The broth was rich, infused with prawn taste. It was delicious to drink. And I like the addition of the quail eggs
Spicy King Prawn Aglio Olio $29
Spaghettini, Toasted Sesame Breadcrumbs & Fresh Herbs
This was somewhat too oily for my liking. It felt like an explosion of fried garlic just landed so you can taste just garlic and nothing else
Sticky BBQ Ribs $36
Smokey Sticky Sauce, Tangy Vegetable & Potato Slew, Chipotle Hot Sauce
The BBQ ribs were decent, and pretty much it
Golden Banana Butterscotch Cake (with Icecream) $13
Ended the meal with dessert which took forever to come. The friends were like, isn’t the cake just behind us?!
The food at PS. Cafe probably isn’t the best but I do think it’s decent enough to come back for a social gathering. But service needs heaps of improvement. Personally, I hate it when restaurants does a segregation of service staffs who do order-taking and serving of food separately. It is so. difficult. to. get. their. attention. I mean honestly, if you cannot live it up to the standards, then don’t do it. Half the time, I felt my patience was running thin. And dinner service wasn’t even crowded! I felt like having a meal here needs lots of strategy but if you can deal with whatever that is going on, I think the decor of the place can warrant another visit
