Milli Singapore – Rooftop Dining & Bar at National Gallery

Wanted to check out Milli as it was all over my socials at some point and since someone was paying for it – must as well. Though when I reached, the first thing he told me was must control, cannot go too crazy with the ordering … So I ordered with care. lol

Peranakan Spritz $26

Started with some cocktails and I must say the drinks were pretty good. The friends seemed to enjoy this alot

Singaporean Breakfast $26

Joke of the evening was the server arrived with a teapot. We were all confused to who had ordered a TWG tea. And the server went – Breakfast Tea anyone? I think I burst out laughing

Well, they quickly replaced this with an alcoholic Breakfast drink, inspired from espresso martini. I must say this was really yummy. I would order this again

Beef Fat Fries, Salted Egg Sauce & Sweet Curry Sauce $14

Ordered fries cos fries would keep one full. The fries were really delicious. Can’t really taste the beef fat but it was a pretty good plate of fries, tasted better with the curry sauce

Cereal Corn Ribs w Sweet Curry Sauce $20

Cereal was really fragrant, reminded me of cereal prawns. I thought the combination worked, just that it was a little difficult to eat the corn cob. But the cereal bits would go well with a bowl of white rice

Chargrilled Coffee Pork Ribs $30

Ribs were well-cooked. The meat fall off the bone easily and you could taste the rich and umami taste of coffee as you chew

Chicken Rice Paella $32

Roasted Spring Chicken, Bonjiri, Bomba Rice

We waited a long while for our chicken cos they misheard it as Huadan Lobster Laksa. I don’t know where is the similarity between the two but either the one taking the order must be super blur or the one cooking was overwhelmed

Anyway, this chicken rice paella was worth the calories. I loved how well-cooked the rice was, soaked up with the chicken stock and the chicken itself was tender, fragrant and crisp on the skin. I wanted to say it was worth the wait, but the wait was really damn freaking long. lol

Food and drinks at Milli was good, plus you get to enjoy the sunset and the view. I wished I had the opportunity to order more dishes. Maybe this warrant for another visit, and hopefully they will take in the right orders this time
