People who are familiar with Mad About Sucre will be glad to know they have opened a sister restaurant at Change Alley Raffles Place. It’s a different concept from what you are familiar with, with MADASS being the more playful and rebellious younger sister serving healthy bowls at lunch and tapas and cocktails at night. They still have some of your favourite desserts on display but you can also find celebration cakes to order too (mini ones in fact). Great for those who prefer a mini birthday cake in office
Sweet Treats and Made in-house Kombucha
Grilled Fresh Wild-Caught Prawns, House-blended Light Spices
Chilled Buckwheat Soba
Onsen Eggs
Baked Mushrooms
Lunch bowls work like this: You choose your protein, and your base and options to add on if you like to
The prawns were fantastic. I might just order that every time. Cooked nicely, seasoned right. Each lunch bowl comes with a small portion of assorted vegetables
The friend went for the Barramundi with soba noodles and add on assorted vegetables. I thought the bowl already came with it but the service staff said otherwise. In the end… so yeah, we could have ordered something else
Baked Wild-Caught Barramundi, Sauce of Paprika & Smoked Garlic
Fresh Salad
I thought the fish was good, but the sauce even better. It brought the whole bowl together
Pulled Grilled Iberico Pork, House-blended Smoked Honey BBQ Sauce
3 Colored Wild Grains
Onsen Egg
Love the texture of the Iberico pork and the smoked honey BBQ sauce that was appetising and kept you wanting for more. The wild grains were highly recommended as well. Though the friend feedback the portion was too small for him. lol
Latte
Add on $3 to complete the meal
Was pleasantly surprised by the coffee when I drank it. Even though it wasn’t brewed by a barista, but it was actually quite decent for that price
Tart of 66% Dark Chocolate, Almond & Meringue $9
You can’t leave this place without trying their desserts. This chocolate tart has the right sweetness with a crunchy base and a fluffy light meringue texture. Heard this was one of their popular items
And menu for reference
The concept of a healthy lunch bowl isn’t new and you are able to find many places that offer such menu in CBD. Also, the prices here are a little less competitive if you were to compare. Hence, you definitely cannot eat this everyday (for that portion as well). But what it made up for, is their quality proteins and ingredients, and a friendly crew to make your week a little better. They are open for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. So if you need somewhere for a quick catchup with clients, friends or colleagues, you know where to drop by
