Lola’s Cafe at Kovan has opened a new dessert cafe by the name of Suzette located at Esplanade mall. To be precise, the cafe is located on the outskirt of the mall along the river where you can enjoy the occasional music and breeze (if there is). The cafe sells a range of tarts, cakes, waffles and homemade icecream and also a selection of coffee and drinks. I would say it’s definitely a one to drop by if you would like to have desserts in the area

Some of the cakes include: Mango Matcha Cake, Quintessential Chocolate Cake, Suzette’s Lemon Cake, Earl Grey Banana Cake

Side note: The Quintessential chocolate cake looks really delicious

Hot Chocolate Sea Salt Tart with Coffee-Infused Cream $8, Lemon Meringue Tart $6, White Chocolate Durian Tart $12

The chocolate was pretty dense. It pretty much felt like eating a soft melted chocolate, complemented by the coffee cream and a touch of sea salt which you can feel the crunch towards the end

I thought the durian though was good but wasn’t fantastic and the white chocolate was too sweet so it’s just sweet on sweet

I think my favourite out of the 3 will be the lemon meringue tart, which has a nice balance of flavors

Waffle with Thai Milk Tea icecream $12

I love their waffles! It was super crispy and soft, drizzled with maple syrup and decorated with sweet berries. Love the creamy texture of the thai milk tea as well without being too sweet. I think their waffle is a show stopper

Generally the tarts were so-so. I would go back for the waffles anytime. Perhaps the next time there might be a chance to try their cakes as well. I’m glad to find another decent waffle place, and in city area no less
