Free The Robot shares the same space as Bitter & Love, so it is a cafe by day and bar by night. Dropped by the place for lunch one day since it is nearby and was lucky we managed to finish our meal before the cafe is filled with the lunch crowd

Even though it is a small place, they managed to pull off the interior nicely

Cold Brew $7

I really enjoyed their cold brew, served in a cute bottle. Made with Kenya beans and filled with blackcurrant notes, it was mild and sweet and perfect for a hot day

Very thick and chocolatey

Truffe Skinny Fries $5

Fries were well fried but not much truffle taste. I thought it got better towards the end

Big Breakky $15

Breakfast for the hungry people, with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown, toast & salad. A rather decent amount of food. Their hash brown was housemade with a thicker crusting. It felt like eating potatoes with overfried batter. The salad was well tossed and the scrambled eggs were well seasoned and nicely done

Egg Mayo Smoked Salmon $7

The croissant was fluffy and crispy and goes beautifully with the egg and salmon. My only complain was the portion was too tiny. I practically finished all the fries to feel full

Avocado Toastie $7

The toast was delicious, combined with melted feta cheese between a soft, buttery and fragrant toast

Prawn Aglio Olio $16

The pasta was cooked al dente, blended well with garlic and spice enough to whet your appetite. Succulent prawn meat topped with pepper and chilli flakes, it was really good

Chia Seed Pudding $7

We ordered this on their recommendation but thought the chendol chia seed pudding was nothing special. It was good to try something different though

I think the food is more cafe driven but with a decent spread of options to choose from. It’s rather cute place with the robot designs and all. Food is generally decent though the place is a little tiny to handle the lunch crowd. But I think this place is still worth considering if you are looking for brunch in the area
