We took the longest to come here cos every time we made a reservation, someone somehow couldn’t make it. Well, we finally did make it eventually, just after a long while. lol. Specialised in South Indian-Korean cuisine, the cuisine itself was unusual to start with cos you don’t see alot of restaurants with that kind of combination. They have a bar seating on the first and more seatings (for bigger groups) on the second so the whole space is actually pretty big. Though we were surprised they weren’t full on the day we visited and that made us wonder – why is reservations so difficult to get then? #mystery
They might have a drinking policy as I overheard the staff telling us to minimally order a drink each. We looked at the menu and decided that a bottle was more economical. lol

Tambi’s Bibimmyeon $26
Ooh, this bibimmyeon. The sauce reminded me of what you would get for having raw seafood in Korea – those spicy marinated sauce. It surprisingly went well with this bibimmyeon, making it so appetising though a little spicy as well. But it was good

Prawn Tosai Pajeon w Sothi Dipping Sauce $28
The friends said this a must order and I agree. I liked the doneness of the pancake, the crunchiness of the prawns and the ‘vegetable curry’ that went long with the jeon. 100% recommend

Grilled Cabbage w Spiced Yoghurt & Deonjang Butter $24
The grilled cabbage looked rather black but it tasted really good. Texture done just right and the spiced yoghurt was one not to be missed

Tambi’s Prawn Maggie Goreng $26
Because the maggie goreng caught my attention. Personally, I thought the spice on the noodles were a little overwhelming. It’s tasty but not something I would wanna order again

Australian Wagyu Bulgogi Roti w Leek & Scallion Salad $58
Recommended by the staffs but not one we expected. If you break it all down, each component tasted decent on its own. The beef was flavourful and tender, roti was crisp and nice and the yolk was runny. But when you put it together, it felt a little strange. I felt like roti still need to go with some sauce and it was somewhat lacking here. Too innovative for my liking. lol
I liked the food at Tambi. I thought the menu was interesting and the flavours worked. Though not every dish was a hit, but I would love to go back to give other dishes a try. Better still, they serve ala carte menu. I never thought Indian-Korean fusion would work so well together and you could definitely give them a try as well
