This place was recommended by a friend, and I brought the family down to try one weekend. Located at NTP+, the place was accessible with just a traffic light away from Lorong Chuan MRT, which made it really convenient. The restaurant wasn’t fancy, just a typical place that you can gather for a meal on a weekend
Fish Otah & Fish Skin in Cone $8 for 2 pcs
Served in 2 pieces, I requested an add-on for the additional pax. I really like the otah paste. It was fragrant yet not overly done, wrapped in a crisp cone and finished off with some fried fish skin for some crunch
Doubled Boiled Soup (For 2 pax) $16 per pot
Ordered the double boiled soup of the day. It was a warm bowl of soup for the soul, just something that was very easy to drink
Wok Fried Kailan, Spiced Minced Meat $16
The kailan was pretty ordinary though I like the minced meat for that extra flavour
Wok Fried Black Truffle Scallop, Capsicum, Asparagus $38
Chose truffle for the scallops which I thought was the right choice. Flavourful, well-cooked and delicious
Roasted Chicken w Garlic (Half) $24
They were running a promotion for this item so we decided to give it a go. The chicken was tender, juicy and the addition of garlic made it appetising
Lobster Mapo Tofu $42
The mapo tofu took quite awhile to come. I really like it. It was 麻 yet not too overly spicy. The huge pieces of lobster meat were sweet and delicious. It was definitely something worth ordering if you enjoy mapo tofu and eating it with a bowl of white rice would just be perfect
‘Yin Yang’ Fish Noodles $18
Not every place does fish meat noodles and I enjoyed Clan 7’s rendition of it. It had a strong wok-hey taste to it which was delightful and worth considering
Matcha Lava Cake $9
Lemongrass-Scented Jelly, Aloe Vera, Green Lime Sorbet $9
Ending the meal with desserts though I personally think the savouries were better than the sweets
I thought the dishes at Clan 7 were decent and prices were on the reasonable end. It’s definitely one to consider if you are looking for something different yet still craving for some Chinese classics
