I was walking along Bugis Point one day when I found out that Founder Bak Kut Teh has taken over the previous bak kut teh shop (which I can’t remember the name), so we decided to have dinner there. Founder Bak Kut Teh is no stranger, with its celebrity-plastered walls and indulging peppery soup. The menu here seems different, bigger perhaps. Choosing from 4 different bak kut teh to start with, we were like seriously, what’s the difference?! And then we just decided to go with the picture that has the ‘Thumbs Up’ lol

Mixed Organ Soup $8.80

Soup base used here for both the pork rib soup and mixed organ soup is the same. The soup here is still the same I remembered, hot and peppery with a flavourful pork rib taste

You Tiao $2.50

Love the fried dough here. The texture is crisp and soft

Tau Pok $1.80

I feel like having bak kut teh now is a whole different story, with various dishes you can go with. You wouldn’t imagine to find fish, steam egg and abalone at a bak kut teh stall in the past. The varying varieties is good and diners can have more options to choose from. And with such a convenient location, it’s one more option added when deciding what to eat at Bugis!
