This trip to Hello Kitty Cafe is probably long overdued ever since since the cafe opened in Singapore. I was deterred by the long wait when the craze first hit the waves here, and finally decided to go down one day for breakfast. There were no crowd when I visited so you can take photos at will. The cafe was pretty, decorated in a garden themed and possibly a heaven for fans of the no mouth cat (meow). One thing for sure, the cafe isn’t as pink as the ones I had visited overseas which I think is a plus point in terms of interior design

Big Breakfast Surprise
Well. The selection of breakfast wasn’t big to start with. In fact, only 3. And this was one of the their breakfast items with a hello kitty designed items. The waffles were a tad dry and lacked the buttery fragrance. Other items were not spectacular either
Kitty Meets Benedicts $17.50
Wanted to order their new breakfast item which was Leaning Tower of Kitty but was told they ran out (at 9am?!). So I opted for the other only available breakfast item, the egg bens. Presentation looked a little underwhelming with the flattened poached eggs. The flavors were alright, but didn’t leave much impression either
The cafe is probably more of a marketing gimmick. Food was okay at best but I thought they should have come out with more kitty designed items instead of plating on a hello kitty plate. I mean that’s what people visit them for right? At least you make your food look better than it tastes. And, I think you will probably enjoy this place if you had gone without any expectations
