This cafe was actually recommended by the friend, just cos it was walkable from the mrt station. It can be easily missed if you don’t catch the number of the block for it remains inconspicuous. Fine Palate will probably be better known for their catering services so it was pretty surprising that we were the only customers from the time we reached to the time we left. And you know how the mind always think no people = bad food, a lot people = the food must be damn good so we were a little apprehensive
The place isn’t big either but they do have a lot of outdoor seatings
Flat White $4.50
A decent flat white with strong aroma and well balanced flavour
Tuna Capellini $20
A take on the classic capellini with a beautifully seared yellow fin tuna mixed with mayo wasabi. A cold pasta topped with sweetness of the tuna with a good balance of flavour without the wasabi being too overpowering
Wild Mushroom Capellini $18
The wild mushrooms were earthy and had good flavours, though contrast to the tuna, fades comparatively away
Prawn Aglio Olio $16
The agilo olio was delicious, and had our hearts on the plate
Pistachio Chicken Roulade $18
FP Burger $18
A decent burger with juicy wagyu beef patty, coupled with gruyere cheese and soft warm buns. A simple burger with big awesome flavours
Honestly, we were surprised by the food and were left pretty impressed. For those who are in the area, do consider this place a visit for they serve good quality food at reasonable prices. And to think this was a mere random find, it definitely makes our day
