Anyone who has been to Les Amis will have known of Chef Cheryl Koh’s desserts and you will be delighted to find out she now has own line of desserts called Tarte by Cheryl Koh. It’s a small takeaway place that specialises in tarts but you can sit in at Caveau Wines & Bar to enjoy those sweet treats as well
Her tarts incorporate seasonal fruits and one which stood out was Pineberry, a strawberry tart that tastes like pineapple. Well that is, if by the time you read my post it is still there. Cos it’s seasonal you know
Her line of tarts, ranging from $8-$9 for the small portion. You can also pre-order her regular tarts at $30-$34, depending on the flavour you choose
Pistachio Tart $9
I have a weakness for Pistachio for I particularly enjoy the fragrance of the nuts. The pistachio tart was delightful. The creaminess of the pistachio was blended well and not overly sweet. The tart was firm and had the right thickness and consistency
Coffee Tart $8
Decided to get the coffee tart to replace my usual coffee break in the afternoon. The coffee tart was a surprise, a combination of roasted Colombian beans and creme brulee underneath. It was simple yet sophisticated
The tarts here are nowhere fancy but they carry beautiful flavours. It was joy to snack on, and enjoy over a teatime break. For those who are craving for something sweet, perhaps you can drop by this place sometime
