Kuala Lumpur: Cat In The Box

Paid a visit to Cat in the box during our visit cos the the friend’s husband owns it. It’s a very cute name and I was kinda anticipating some cats in the cafe but nope, no cats. The cafe is located in an industrial setting which was pretty cool and I thought the whole place has its own character. Besides Cat in the box, it has lots of other restaurants as well.

The menu

Hazelnut Latte

I love anything with hazelnut in it and I couldn’t resist giving this hazelnut latte a try. The latte was smooth, velvety and well bodied, but also boosted a lingering hazelnut taste which was really nice

Ice Shaken Peach Tea

A good thirst quencher

Lemon Meringue Cake

The cake is a little different from your usual lemon meringue cos this was sweeter. Though you can still taste the lemon in it

Brownie w Sea Salt Caramel Icecream

They ran out of vanilla so we made do with sea salt caramel. I don’t think the brownie was spectacular but it was decent. And I think pairing it with vanilla will definitely be better

It’s a nice place to chill and just laze the afternoon away. I enjoy their coffee cos I think it’s probably closer to what you can find in Singapore than some other cafes. But for those who are cafe hopping in KL, do drop by and give it a try
