Dropped by Bay Sushi at MBS to celebrate Z’s birthday since she came to find me for lunch. Well I hadn’t had jap for while, so I wanted to see how Bay Sushi fares. The exterior looks pretty intimidating though, but the interior gave a very expensive feel (or maybe they just wanna blend in with MBS. haha)

Lunch sets promotion which I thought was quite a steal cos the portion was alot!

Hmmm, I think ever since I tried Mitsuya/Shinji, nothing can be comparable to their standard. I thought the rice here was a lil too hard and the tamago tasted weird. So I don’t advise ordering nigiri sushi here. Go for cooked food instead.

The salad was a lil short of standard and the tempura was strange.  Maybe they couldn’t decide they wanna do Japanese kind of tempura or fish & chips kind of tempura. The chawanmushi wasn’t good either.

The only saving grace which was really pretty good.

Food wasn’t anywhere near impressive. I think I rather visit Ichiban Boshi.
