198. Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru @ Liang Court

Say hello to Ryoshi Sushi! Yes it’s new and it’s slowly, strongly getting a foothold in the sushi scene. Located at the basement of Liang Court, well inside Meidi-ya to be precise cos I actually couldn’t find the restaurant initially. hahah I’m lucky I didn’t have to wait long though I believe it would get crowded during weekends.

Most of the seats are located around the conveyor belt for you to easily grab the plates off the belt.

Big Salmon

Something I would definitely grab off the belt. Big slices of sweet salmon covering the rice. I like how they are so generous with their portions šŸ™‚

Aburi Salmon or Seared Salmon

Otoro Sushi/ Very fatty tuna sushi

I love the pretty pink colour of the fish and the sweet & fatty texture when you chew on it. It has an interesting taste but I think I’m still a bigger fan of salmon. haha

Hokkaido scallop sushi

I thought the salmon was good. This is even better. The scallops are sooo sweet!

Unagi Sushi

Pretty normal

Grilled Salmon

I thought this was pretty oily. I wouldn’t order this again. Too oily for my liking

Deep fried squid legs

Pretty decent. Z says it’s quite soft. I find it quite chewy though. Worth a try!

and we also had a chawanmushi which I had no idea why I didn’t take a photo of it. hahaha not too bad too!

We paid about $30 each. I would say it’s pretty reasonable. I wouldn’t compare this to Itacho cos well, they are different. Ryoshi’s variety of sushi emphasizes alot on the different kind of fish like all sorts – red fin, mackerel, alot of different kinds of tuna and as well as other kinds of sushi like maki, oyster and whatsnot. Itacho, somehow they have tweaked and catered to local tastebuds thats probably why we find them so appealing. I guess they had their hits and misses and I definitely wouldn’t mind an extra place for sushi craving next time. šŸ™‚

Ending w a picture of us!
