If you know Iru Den, you would be happy to know Chef Javier Low has opened his second restaurant, a casual wine bar serving ala carte dishes. Located at Duxton road, the place was pretty quiet for a Saturday night. And while waiting for the friend to arrive who had a hard time finding parking, I decided to order a bottle of wine to start

And that’s a nice Pinot Noir from Australia
Lets just say by the time the friend arrived, I had already drank quite abit. lol We proceeded on with the ordering cos I had already knew what I wanted and I also knew the friend would have no objections. lol

Black Angus Beef Tartare w Layered Potatoes $23 + Hokkaido Bafun Uni $19

One of their popular appetisers, I really loved this. The layered potatoes were smart. Executed well and paired really nicely with the beef tartare which was flavourful on its own. I thought the addition of uni added umami and texture and you could taste the sweetness towards the end. It was really lovely

Smoked Speck Curry w Pao de Queijo $26
Saw this appearing on their IG frequently, I gave this a try as well. It was delicious. The Indian-style curry was thick yet fragrant and savoury. Love the bits of pork in it and the combination with the Pao de Queijo was stellar. Would recommend to give this a try

‘Yumepririka’ Seafood Risotto $36
I was deciding between this and the short ribs but since we had the beef tartare, I went with the risotto. The risotto was cooked really well and you could taste the seafood broth in it. There was nothing to fault about
We didn’t order much since it was just 2 of us but I thought the dishes were pretty decent and the portions generous. It’s definitely a place I would love to return if I were looking for a place to drink and chill and you should also give this place a try too
