After all the CNY feasting, it’s back to eating healthy. Introducing to you another entrant to the Poké scene, Pololi is the latest establishment to set foot here. The Hong Kong based takeaway took its inspirations from Hawaiian Poké and turned it to suit Asian palette. Their menu changes from time to time, mainly depending on the season and sometimes coming up with various daily’s specials
Hidden in a corner, you might easily miss this place if you don’t usually walk past
It’s quite a straightforward menu:
1.Choose your base
2.Choose the weight of your Poké bowl
3.Choose your poké
Well, you can add on extras and sides if you like to

Chose salad for me! Huge cuts of fresh sashimi with cucumbers and creamy sesame dressing
Thai Style Ahi & Spicy Nutty Salmon
I really like the Thai style tuna for its distinct spicy kick without being too overwhelming, balanced by an appetising acidic aftertaste. The salmon was seasoned in a different kind of spice, topped with fragrant sesame to give that nutty texture
Honestly, I felt like the Poké scene is becoming a little too saturated. The first one that came gave people a refreshing concept, the second one that came provided some alternative to go to, but when the third and fourth one that came, it felt like huh?! another one? Afterall, how different can a poké bowl get? Still, I like the texture and flavours of Pololi though price-wise it feels steeper compared to its competitors. Don’t know if anyone takes Poké everyday but I wouldn’t mind once in a very very long while
