Met up with a friend for lunch and we decided to try out Merdandy Bar & Cafe located next to OCBC Centre. The cafe has its first outlet at Haji lane and has now moved on to cater to the CBD crowd for its second outlet. Fortunately or unfortunately, they only had the set menu which comes with a soup of the day, drink and a main menu item

It tasted rather diluted, only to realise we didn’t stir the sugar syrup right at the bottom

Pork Ribs with Pineapple Sauce, Fries & Salad

The pork ribs was tender, a little charred topped with sweet pineapple sauce to get your appetite started

Lamb Chop with Mashed Potato and Salad

The lamb chops are really photogenic but it’s a pity i don’t really taste much meat. With what little meat I could taste/savour, it is infused with a light mint sauce to mask the lamb taste. Though the mashed potatoes were pretty good

I think Merdandy makes a convenient location for lunch with affordable prices, though it may also be a place that is easily given up for since there are plenty of restaurants nearby. But I do see a crowd when I left the place so I think the convenience is still one that attracts the crowd back
