Finally got a chance to try the much raved about Jamie’s Italian but sad to say the food was.. as good as Pastamania! I don’t even know if I’m insulting Pastamania by saying this. hais anyways here’s peektures.
Crispy Squid
Baked Mushrooms
Wild Truffle Risotto
Jool’s Fav Sicilian Tuna Fusilli
The Jamie’s Italian Burger
Everything here was chosen after reading reviews online. So technically, they are the best dishes that they can offer. Personally, the squid was really good. I thought the portions were ALL relatively small. We even after opted the larger portion for risotto and pasta. I was hoping the quality could make up for it but it does not seem to be the case. Risotto was not cooked well enough. Pasta was too dry. The burger’s pretty decent though. If the only comfort was food was comparatively cheaper than other Italian restaurants, then why visit Jamie’s when you can have as equally cheap pasta at Pastamania’s?
Happy Birthday K!
Tutti Frutti Lemon Meringue
Happy birthday J!!
Creamy Panna Cotta
Yes 2 birthday desserts for the 2 birthday girls. Meringue was nothing to rave for, panna cotta was not bad.
Overall, I think Jamie’s is overhyped. Thankfully we only queued for half an hour for our table. Any longer than that for this kind of standard I probably be more than upset. haha and we had to finish the night with Max Brenner’s desserts. Gosh.
