Moutarde – Casual French Bistro at WEAVE Sentosa

Was actually thinking where to go with the friends when this place popped up. So I decided we shall have our lunch there though it’s a little out of the way. The RWS area had revamped a little so it is a little different now, probably the whole area now is more aesthetically looking. Moutarde, a modern French bistro by Chef Paul Pairet focused on carving and sharing. There is a brief introduction to the place if it is your first visit there, so we were introduced to the kitchen and the food

I thought the exterior was done quite nicely

It wasn’t particularly crowded for a weekend as there were a few empty tables around but the environment was one that was nice enough to hang out and chill

Started with a cocktail that was a little too exotic for my liking. I ended up passing the entire drink to the friend

Complimentary bread with butter. The butter was a little more salty so please be careful with the portion. That being said, it was actually quite nice

Cheese Souffle $20

The texture of the soufflé was really good. The friends love it very much. I’m not a fan of cheese, so I had a tiny portion of it. But the Gruyere souffle was generally quite well received

Egg Benedicte $18

Parisian Ham, San Daniel Ham, Bearnaise

The friends were appalled when I ordered 4 mains. But hey, there were 6 adults! I thought it was just nice. lol. I have to say the Egg Benedicts was really good. It was the ham, and the buttery bread and hollandaise sauce that went really well together

Croque-Monsier Moutarde $18

Parisian Ham, San Daniele Ham, Cheese

Was glad the croque monsier came in a tiny portion. It was decent but the benedicts were better. If you have to pick one, pick the Egg Benedict

Rotisserie Chicken Essential (Half) $38

Was glad we still got the chicken to try cos it was a popular dish. It was done well and the chicken was tender. It was a very decent main dish

Wood-Oven Roasted Prime Rib 500g $118

Australian Angus Signature Black – ‘Au Jus” & Lemon Cream

I have to admit when the beef came, we were not very impressed by the appearance of it. But when you savour it, it was delicious. I felt the beef stood out on its own without the condiments so it was really pretty decent

Spinach Sesame $10

Mushroom Garlic $10

French Fries Allumettes $8

The sides were outstanding. I think every side we ordered was received well

Flat white, cos we were about to doze off from food coma. But the coffee here was really quite decent as well. If you have no idea where to go for your coffee run in this area, do give them a try

We waited a long while for desserts. I was shocked when they arrived in a trolley. Like did we order that much desserts?

Souffle Au Praline w Ice-cream $16

The friends said the savoury tasted better. Like I think it’s good but the cheese soufflé had more wow factor

The Real French Toast $14

The caramelised brioche French Toast is one you should give it a try. It was done very well

Basque Cheesecake $12

Complimentary dessert

Mango Earl-Granite $14

Earl Grey Granite, Passion Fruit Syrup, Fresh Raspberries

I wasn’t impressed by this. We all agreed we should have skip this

Complimentary macarons from Pierre Hermes

Was surprised they gave complimentary macarons from Pierre Hermes cos I personally really liked their macarons. So it was a nice touch

The meal at Moutarde was quite good. I think my friends and I really enjoyed the experience there. If you don’t mind the distance, it’s quite a nice place to have a weekend brunch there with a huge space around
