Summer Hill was quite known for their weekend Brunch trolley and I’ve always wanted to try it for awhile. Since the friends suggested a date for brunch, I guess it was a good opportunity then. This menu, named Le Tour de France started from Jan 2026, priced $79++ per pax. Featuring the provinicial cooking of France, the theme allows guests to explore the different region and traditions

They had 2 seatings for their weekend brunch and it wasn’t particularly crowded so I thought it was quite a nice place to chill and enjoy. So since it was a buffet, you get to try everything for the first round. Then you get to add on items which you like for the second round, if you are still hungry that is

Potato, Eggs, Cornichon, Ham, Tomato, Aioli
We started with Piedmont, an array of salad items + olive bread

The bread was really good though we did tell ourselves not to finish the carbs and the salad was refreshing and appetising

Stewed Red Peppers, Onions, Piment d’Espelette & Eggs
Then we went to Basque. The stewed red peppers were nice. They kinda reminded me of shashouka but a heartier and less spicy version

Fritter of Herbs & Leafy Greens
Moving on to Aveyron, the fritters were interesting but not something I would like to order again. I’m not sure if it’s the texture itself. Cos the idea of fritters to me needs to be a little crispier

Garlic, Onion & Tomato Soup w Duck Confit & Duck Fat Croutons
And on to Sud Ouest known for its rich flavour, we had a soup inspired from this region and we really enjoyed it. It’s rustic, flavourful and the duck confit was delicious

Squid braised with Tomato, Red Peppers & White Wine
Back again at Basque, the squid was braised till it’s broken so easily when you bite into it. I think it’s a combination of the texture and flavour, but I wished they had done something else with this dish

Halibut Fillet, Caper, Lemon & Brown Butter
Since the butter-based sauce was a known specialty of Grenoble, we had some halibut to go along with it. Fish was well-cooked but we were so full at this point

Then we had chicken rice from Burgundy. lol

This really had the aroma of the chicken rice, healthier version without the oiliness of it

Poached Chicken w Sauce Velour & Rice steamed in Aromatic Stock
Chicken was poached well. It was missing the chicken rice chilli. We actually asked for the chilli sauce but they didn’t have it. So I suggest you bring some yourself. lol

Anchovy & Garlic Butter
They needed some vegetables for our meal so we went to Herault. This was very normal

Grilled Pork Spareribs, Herbs de Garrigue, Tomato & Onion Relish
But there’s still more food coming, this time from Languedoc. I had to say the grilled spareribs were super good. Cooked so tender, we finished them even though we were about to burst

Beef Stew w Olives, Dried Orange & Red Wine, Mashed Potatoes
Last mains were from Provence. The beef was good but honestly, the spareribs won hands down
At this point, they came around to ask for second round of order and were like No, Thanks. We really cannot. And cos there were 3 of us, they gave us 1 portion each for the starters and 2 portions of every main which was an insane amount of portion

The bell rang and it was ICE KACHANG time! You grab a cup of ice from the bar, add your own toppings and sauce at the bar area. This was quite a nice palate cleanser, so much I wanted a second cup. lol

Chocolate Sponge Cake
They had a yeasted cake from Paris (not pictured) and chocolate sponge cake from Genoa which was way too sweet
If there was one feedback that we had to give, I thought they could reduce one of the tomato-based dishes. Food generally was okay. There were hits and misses but the portion was definitely generous enough to make you very full. And the coffee had high reviews from the friends, so much they ordered a second cup. lol. I guess if you are looking for somewhere quiet in town, this place hits the mark
