Lemme kick start my Bali entry. We got the tickets at a very cheap price few months ago and we finally made it here! whoohoo. The villa was not very fantastic. I guess it differs much from the pictures so we were kinda disappointed. But the staffs were pretty nice and friendly and the location was good, right smack in the middle of all attractions.

Actually the rooms are pretty nice. So half the time we were staying in our room. But the bad thing is the wifi. It’s so unstable and weak. Then again, for the price we are paying for a 2 bedroom + private pool villa, we cannot complain much. 🙂

We were soo hungry after our flight we decided to grab some Babi Guling along the way. What an awesome way to start our trip with some good ol’ local fare. So the driver drove us to a pretty good Babi Guling place (according to them) and we packed lots and lots of food back.

 This is how one packet looks like. It’s basically rice with various parts of the pig, cooked differently. Honestly, I was not very impressed with it even though this place serves one of the better babi guling around. I thought it was over rated. The meat was quite tough and there wasn’t much flavour. And the skin was so tough and hard we had a hard time biting. lol the only thing I like was the chilli. It’s special and spicy enough though I definitely would not specially hunt for this the next time I’m there. Reserve the calories for something else. heh

Babi Guling Pak Malen

One of the most visited places in Bali will definitely be Potato Head Beach Club. So we changed and excitedly make our way down. Reservations is definitely a must. If not, be prepared to wait, especially with everyone wanting to catch the sunset. Their last reservation for lunch is at 3pm and their first reservation for dinner is at 5pm. And they don’t allow reservations for day bed as it is on first come first served basis with min spending required. PHBC has 3 restaurants under one roof, so you can choose which one to go to. And since we are only there for drinks and the scenery, we went with Potato Head restaurant!

Request for the couches when making the reservation!

They originally gave us a table inside but we wanted to catch the sunset so we managed to find one that overlooks the sea. So perfect! 🙂

Everyday we look forward to a different sunset. It’s so drop dead gorgeously pretty you have to witness it yourself

It’s the kind of place where you have to go. And I will totally recommend.
