We chose to visit Take Kushiyaki for our team dinner cos it was relatively easy to get to. The place wasn’t big but yet it was quite crowded for a weekday dinner. Since we were waiting for the rest to arrive, we ordered some bites and drinks to start first and before it turned into a full spread dinner

Chicken Karaage $10

The karaage was nothing to shout about but it was something good to fill our stomach in the meantime while waiting for the rest to come

The friends liked this so much we ordered 5 portions of this in total

Oden (small) $7.50

I thought the oden was quite stomach warming. Think you will find this especially good if you had too much of drinks and need something hot and soupy

Tori Paitan Ramen Regular $18.50 Scallion Oil Udon $8.50

We got both the ramen and udon to try. They were both good but personally I prefer the ramen. You can taste the fragrance of the scallion in the udon but I prefer how you can taste the heartiness flavour of the chicken in the ramen broth

Hotaru Squid $6/stick

We didn’t know how the hotaru squid will turn out so we only ordered 1 to try. But I must say the firefly squid was surprisingly quite good

I thought the grilled chicken was quite tasty and done quite well though I will recommend the negima to the chicken thigh itself cos you can taste the juiciness of the scallion

Gizzard $4/stick Deep Fried Tofu $4.50/stick

Skip the tofu. Gizzard was okay

Pork Belly & Asparagus $6.50/stick

The pork belly & asparagus was actually quite good. The meat was tender yet juicy without compromising the asparagus and the iberico pork jowl was also decent

Sweet Potato $5/stick

Tsukune $5/stick Add on Egg $1

Very decent tsukune with the meat taut yet tender. And of course, you have to add an egg to go along with it

Tebasaki $5/stick

Ending off with tebasaki cos what’s a yakitori meal without chicken wings which were done pretty well too

I thought generally the food here was pretty decent. A casual fuss-free place with just good kushiyaki and also alot other options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to hang out with your friends and colleagues, do give this place a try
