Le Pristine Singapore – New Italian Cuisine at Grand Hyatt Singapore

Met the cousins for dinner and we decided to check out Le Pristine Singapore at the newly refurbished Grand Hyatt Singapore. Located up the stairways from the main lobby, the restaurant seems to be quite spacious as we were brought through different corners before we were led to our table eventually

A very classy elegant interior with views of the kitchen

Each table was also spaced apart to give you ample privacy for your conversations

Champagne Drappier – Carte d’Or $28

Had feels for a glass of bubbly so I went ahead to order a glass. And I instantly regretted. Now I remind myself why I am so fussy about my champagne. lol

Mussel, Aguachile, Tomato, Kaffir Lime $18

I really liked the flavour of this. The kaffir lime reminded me of tom yum so it had a little bit of spice when you pair the mussels with the with sauce. It was refreshing yet appetising

Pizzette Bluefin Tuna, Barbecued Corn, Wasabi $26

I had to say to the tuna was really well marinated. You can taste the sweetness of the tuna bits, yet saucy without too overpowering. It was really quite a well-balanced dish

Pizette Chilli King Crab, Basil, Zucchini $26

The chilli king crab on the other hand wasn’t much of a show stopper. I felt the flavours were on the heavier side. I would pick the tuna anytime

Complimentary Bread Basket – Mini Baguette, Focaccia, Sourdough

The bread was wow. Even though it wasn’t served warm (which probably most of us preferred), but these room temperature bread will have you wanting for more, more so with the butter. I never liked my bread with butter, but this butter was so delicious that the cousin asked to dabao (both the bread and butter. lol)

Scallop, Hamachi, Butternut, Truffle $45

It’s not easy to make a scallop dish stand out, but I thought they did pretty well with this. The combination of the scallop and hamachi brings out the sweetness and I liked the overall texture of the whole dish

Salad Lobster, Stracchino, Cherry $75

If you like something more acidic in your dishes, give this salad a try. Dressed in cherry vinaigrette, it was quite a dish to get your appetite started

Moving on to mains..

Le Pristine Signature Seafood Orecchiette $60

A signature served across all Le Pristine restaurants, this pasta was serving for one. However, given all the dishes we had ordered, thankfully it was meant for serving for one. The portion of the pasta doesn’t seem substantial, but it was rather filling. And the sauce, was delicious

Black Angus Beef 3 Sauces – Classic Beef Sauce, Pepper Sauce, Bearnaise

Pot-au-Feu Vegetables – Beef Cheek, Bone Marrow Broth, Burrata Salad

Thankfully the portion of the beef was also manageable. The beef was well cooked, but placing it with 3 sauces was abit questionable. Since different people have different preferences with the sauce pairing. I rather they served it simply on the side without mixing. But still, I thought the beef did a little better than the seafood pasta. And I liked how they paired with side of the pot-eu-feu vegetables which was generous

Le Pristine Vanilla Ice cream a-la-minute, Chocolate, Caramelised Nuts $25

What’s impressionable about this dessert was the caramelised nuts that go together with the ice cream. The nuts were so fragrant and it was really delicious to pair them together

TIramisu Collapsed $24

The tiramisu was a little sweet for my liking so I would pick the ice cream over this

This makes a good date spot or a nice hangout spot with your girlfriends. I thought the appetisers did better than their mains but overall, it was still decent enough. Definitely one worth considering if you are looking for a place to impress
