Finally found time to blog again and trying to clear many of my backlogs (lol). Visited Sospiri with the colleagues cos we were bored of the same few places for lunch. And given how newly opened it was when we visited (back then), it was actually really crowded

Started with some complimentary bread and I must say the olive oil was really good. It was fragrant and tasted smooth and rich

Insalata di Granchio $36
Jumbo Lump Crab Salad with Caroselli Cucumbers and Pizzutelli Tomatoes
I really liked the crab salad though the colleagues didn’t seem very impressed by it. You can taste the sweetness in the crab meat and the generous portion proved really satisfying too, especially so when you savour it together with the cucumbers and tomatoes

Cardoncelli Trifolati $36
Cardoncelli Mushrooms with Black Truffle, Pancetta and Pecorino Cheese
The mushrooms were the top favourite. Everyone loved it

Battuta di Tonno $24
Blue Fin Tuna Tartare with Amalfi Lemon, Salmoriǵlio and Pantelleria Capers
I thought the tartare was appetising and refreshing and thought it was actually a good appetiser to start if you want something lighter to start the meal with

Burrata di Andria con la Vignarola $ 26
Burrata Cheese with Broad Beans and Artichoke Salad
The burrata was my least favourite but the colleagues seemed to enjoy it. I felt it was a little too soft for my liking and it was rather mediocre

Ravioli alla Vaccinara $30
Homemade Ox Tail Ravioli with Lemon Zest and Pine Nuts

Tagliolini agli Scampi $45
Homemade Tagliolini with Scampi and Sardinian Bottarga
I took a bite of the tagliolini. I liked the texture and there was a fragrance in the pasta like it has been stir-fried. It was actually rather decent

Linguine di Gragnano Al Granchio $38
Linguine with Crab, San Marzano Tomatoes and Violetta Eggplants
The linguine was really good. It was hearty, savoury and you could taste the sweetness of the crab meat. I thought the whole dish was rather well balanced
I was actually quite impressed by the pasta. I thought they had rich and bold flavours and stood out where it should. I would go back for them. We skipped desserts cos we were just too full after we finished the mains (and we couldn’t even finish them). So we ended with a cup of coffee and hopefully, we get to revisit again
